Collaboration and partnerships

 

The NIPFP maintains close functional links with the Central and State Governments in India, and actively collaborates with bilateral and multilateral donor agencies in pursuing its research and training agenda. It also works in close collaboration with a number of academic institutions both in India and abroad, to gain deeper insights on issues of public economics. The faculty of the Institute collaborates in research and teaching activities with a number institutes in India and abroad. They are also associated with world-wide research networks and serve as members on national and state-level commissions, professional organisations, and management boards of various institutions.

 
In the year 2021-22, NIPFP and the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Centre for Training and Research Administration, Government of Uttarakhand (PDU-CTRFA) had entered into a training and research collaboration with a focus to encourage cooperation, learning from good practices and intellectual exchange between the two institutions in the area of public finance, fiscal governance and management, through mentoring, exchange of faculty members and officers/staff, collaboration and coordination in conducting lectures etc.
 
The detailed training modules on various aspects of public financial management systems have already been prepared. These include:
 
Key Constitutional Provisions, Acts and Rules under PFM
Medium Term Fiscal Framework
Budget Execution and Commitment
Public Investment Management
Cash and Debt Management
 
On aspect of local government, the detailed modules are under preparation.
 
In the current year 2022-23, the NIPFP and the Tamil Nadu Institute of Urban Studies (TNIUS) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate and co-operate in designing, developing and updating of a database for Local self-governments.
